Is Jesus a divine son of God because God is his ➥ “Father” ?

⇛ That ye may be the children of ➥ your Father which is in ➥ heaven …
[Matthew 5:45]

⇛ Be ye therefore ➥ perfect, even as ➥ your Father which is in ➥ heaven is perfect. [Matthew 5:48]

● There are countless verses in the Bible to this effect.

● To understand what is meant by the reference to “father” We need only to read [John 8:42]
⇛ Jesus said unto them, If God were ➥ your Father, ye would ➥ love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came ➥ I of myself, but he sent me.

● So the love of God and His prophets is what makes God someone’s “father.” Similarly in [John 8:44]:
⇛ Ye are of your ➥ father the devil, and the ➥ lusts of your father ye will do.

➥ Obviously neither the ➥ Devil nor God is the ➥ physical father of any of them (Including Jesus).

  1. Yes, these verses do refer to God as the father of all believers. But He is Jesus’ father in a different way. Jesus is often referred to as God’s “only” son (John 3:16), but a believer is only one of “many” sons (John 1:12, Hebrews 2:10).

There is clearly a difference in Jesus’ relationship to God and the believer’s relationship to God. Note this verse: “all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father.” (John 5:23). We are never told to give the same honor to other believers as we give to God. But Jesus is worthy of honor, worship, and praise, which is why the angels in heaven give Him the same praise they give to God (Revelation 5:12-13)

The one who claims that Jesus (pbuh) is God, or that Jesus (pbuh) is the Son of God, or that God is a Trinity that includes ‘Isa is in fact the most distant from the teachings of Jesus (pbuh) even if he calls himself a devout Christian.

The Christians keep changing their religious teaching, whereas God’s teaching cannot change irrespective of time, as in the case of Islam.
